Old travel trunks converted into various furniture

Since always the trunk I thought it was a perfect complement for decoration and storage. It also seems to me an object with a lot of charm and when I see one I like to imagine what its interior can contain. In the one I have in my house there are only blankets and bedding, but I like to imagine that others hide more exciting secrets.

There are modern trunks but without a doubt those that have more charm are the old ones and all can be used to place them in different rooms, for example in the living room the trunk can even serve as a coffee table and in the bedroom it can be perfect at the foot or on the side of the bed, depending on where we have more space.

Going a little further, the signature Restoration Hardware has built other furniture from old trunks as desks, shelves or drawers, I also like them, although I keep the trunk as it is without modification. To my liking the trunk has a beautiful shape in itself and is practical enough.

But it may be that someone does not have room at home for a trunk or does not find the utility and therefore prefers some another piece of furniture that is more practical and that is inspired by it or manufactured from an old one. It is very charming furniture that can help us create a very special atmosphere at home or in the office.
